I didn't know
our lifetime
was a moment
I didn't know
you'd enter my world
change me
shape me
mold me
teach me
I didn't know
you were going to go home
so soon
I didn't know
our place
would be
wherever we were
I didn't know
that
letting you go
was something I'd have to do
I didn't know
that the sky would embrace my thoughts
and
nature would comfort me
I didn't know
I'd have to find my way without you
but now I do

I wrote this in loving memory of my son (Kameron Marcel Huddleston ~ Aug. 18th, 1990 - Aug. 31st, 2009), who passed away unexpectedly. His death has brought about many emotions and revealed many truths; mainly life without regret accompanied by hope and faith can sustain you through your toughest times.
